1.比赛时间：04-06-2007 (周五)，7pm~10pm；
04-07-2007 (周六)，10am~5pm;
2.比赛地点：Freer Hall 310；

3.报名项目：A组（高级组）：男单，男双，女单，女双，混双；
B组（初级组）：男单，男双，女单，女双，混双；
(注：比赛最终赛制将根据报名情况决定,但保证每位选手至少能参加两场比赛。报名时所有的项目对A,B组开放。如果一个项目的最终报名队数小于4，则A，B组将被合并为一组；如合并后参赛队数仍小于4，则该项目将被取消。)
4.报名方法：发email至：zleng2@uiuc.edu (冷真) 或 tan9@uiuc.edu（谭家玮）。报名时请注明姓名，性别及项目(请注明A组或B组）。对于参加双打项目的同学，请写上队友的名字或注明由组委会指派。报名截止日期为03-30-2007。
5.报名费用：参加一项$2.00；参加两项$3.00；参加三项$4.00。收取的报名费将用于比赛奖品；场地费用和比赛用球将由CSSA赞助。

在美国留学、访学的各位中国学生学者、曾经是留学生的各位朋友：

您好！

作为留学生，您与国内的同龄人处在不同的学习、生活环境，因而对于许多问题或许有着独道的见解。

远离家乡的亲人，您或许希望和兄弟姐妹分享你在异国他乡的苦辣酸甜，再和父亲母亲说上几句贴心话。作為也曾在美留學的電影專业工作者, 我們希望能给广大留学人员提供一个展示自我、思考总结的机会，让中国民众对于出国留学的意义、对于我们留学生这一群体有更加深刻全面的了解. 因此我們共同制作了《大洋彼岸》紀录片系列的第一集《寻梦洛杉磯》。 2006年一月在中央电视台新闻频道播出后, 引起各界的積极關注和反响. 中央电视台現已委託我們摄制另外十四集. 摄制工作已經展開, 我們现在于美国东岸，西岸及中部地区征集候选人。

每位最终入选本部纪录片的留学人员，将可能有机会在约３０分钟的时间里向中国的电视观众讲述自己的故事，分享留学经历，讲述人生感悟。入选者还可以根据兴趣，就关于中美教育制度异同、当代青年人的特点 与使命、留学海外的收获与挑战等诸多话题中选择一两个发表看法。

如果在您的爱人、朋友、同学、同事当中，有人有着独特的留学经历，我们也欢迎您推荐他们作为我们节目的候选人。当然，如果我们对他们进行采访，一定会同时尊重他们本人的意愿。

Job Description

Job Title: Design Engineer – Mandarin fluency required

Department: Product Development

SUMMARY: Perform product engineering, design, drawing preparation and processing. Design of products and equipment and/or procurement along with obtaining quotes and recommendations for job letting. Periodic follow-up and reporting. Work with the New Product Development Manager and the New Product Development Team. Conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop design for products. This position requires fluency in Mandarin.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare sketches and CAD designs of new products and enhancing existing products.
• Prepare sketches and CAD designs for process equipment.
• Aid in the fabrication of machinery in-house and project letting along with the necessary follow-up.
• Provide Engineering assistance for all process equipment and existing product.
• Assist the Product Development Manager as assigned.
• Analyzes research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal.
• Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design.
• Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics.
• Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system.
• Plans and develops experimental test programs.
• Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Confers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required.
• Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor Degree desired in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering and/or CAD Design with a minimum of five (5) years experience in product, machine and process design. Requires advanced CAD experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Team player and builder; self-directed and requires minimal supervision.

The workshop will focus on the most relevant non-immigrant working visa and immigration visa petitions for students and scholars/researchers. It will cover the hot topics including H-1B visa quota and the strategies after quota runs out. With emphasis, the seminar will explore and expose you with green card fast track channels, such as National Interest Waiver (NIW), EB-1A and EB-1B, for Ph.D. students, postdocs, researchers, and professionals with advance degrees. In addition, the seminar will uncover the mastery of the PERM employer sponsored fast track petition for skilled workers and professionals. Through the whole presentation, the experienced attorney will emphasize on total solutions, strategic planning, and practical tips from the prospective of a real world practice.

Jerry Zhang holds a Master's in Physics. He received his J.D. from The Law School of the University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed lawyer in both Texas and Illinois.

为了欢迎又一届新玉米加入UIUC，CSSA 羽毛球俱乐部将举办2006-2007新生杯羽毛球赛。作为迎新活动的一部分，此次新生杯比赛主要面向所有今年入学的新学生，但也会加入一定的老生参与以增进新老生之间的交流。

时间：2006年8月27日 1pm-5pm
地点：Freer Hall 310

项目：
1. 男单，女单 （固定项目）：只对新生开放。
2. 男双，女双，混双 （候选项目）：
考虑到新生目前可能没有固定组合，同时给老生一个参与比赛的机会，对于双打项目建议采用新老生组合的方式。新生可以报名任何一项双打项目，俱乐部将根据报名情况，为新生选配老生作为搭档。如果新生已有自己的搭档，请直接在报名时注明。
3. 新老生对抗赛 （候选项目）：
如果时间允许，更多的比赛可以在新老生之间展开，自由组合，尽兴即可。

以上时间地点基本不会改变，在收到学校相关部门的确认后，会通过BBS及ｅｍａｉｌ通知大家！

活动：BBQ，游戏，各种娱乐活动，旨在提供轻松的氛围，促进新生之间以及新老生的交流。由于有娱乐性的越野，球类运动，最后穿适合运动的衣服和鞋。 虽然这次BBQ主要以新生为主，我们也非常欢迎老生前来与新生交流。另外，我们需要有条件的老生提供交通便利，接送新生。如果老生想参加这次活动，并且能提供接送服务，请提前联系我们（联系方式见下面），好让CSSA协调准备。

交通：1，老生接送。统一的集合地点是在Engineering Libraray东边的停车场，当天8：30AM开始CSSA会组织老生开车接送。由于新生比较多，可能需要老生往返多次。活动结束后，老生送回ILLINI UNION。
2，坐BUS。由于是周六，有些线路停开，所以可能需要TRANSFER。如果可以坐70Gray E ，则可以在N Lake St下，然后往北步行进入PARK。
