| Badminton Club |

Badminton is one of the most popular sports among Chinese on the campus.
The CSSA badminton club is open to badminton players at all levels. A major
event organized by the club is the annual CSSA badminton tournament, which
started in 2003. This tournament is usually scheduled in April or May and
open to all Chinese as well as players from other countries. The club also
organizes friendly games with other nearby universities, either by inviting
them to visit us or traveling to other universities. In addition, the club
will provide help on other badminton related issues such as ordering
shuttles, stringing rackets etc. There is no formal membership, and because
of large number of players, there is no regular club play time. Currently,
badminton can be played at Freer Hall only. You can reserve courts that
fit your own schedule. Nevertheless, we regularly reserve courts for Friday
evening and everyone is welcome to play. For more information and most
recent news, please visit the club website.

| Dragon Volleyball Tean |
Dragon Team has been growing quickly ever since 1996. It
gathers quite a few volleyball lovers across UI campus and plays volleyball
on Saturday afternoons between 3 and 7 pm. Dragon Team is open to players
of all levels and provides an encouraging environment for people who want
either to learn volleyball or to improve their skills. Though the aim of
playing volleyball on this team is for fun and exercise, Dragon Team has
participated a few campus tournaments and has won a couple of titles. We
are also trying to get contact with other Chinese volleyball groups in more
and more universities in the United States so as to exchange ideas and
experience through visit play. We are looking forward to having more
volleyball enthusiasts join us for a richer life while staying on this
gorgeous campus at U of I.
Regular Practice: 3:00 ~ 7:00PM, Saturday
