As some of you have already known, CSSA has its own karaoke system, which is to serve all the Chinese students at UIUC, making our lives a little bit more exciting. We would like to let every Chinese student know that they could actually borrow this from CSSA. If you would like to borrow it sometime in the future, please read below.
1. You contact me via email, put 'Karaoke_your name' in the subject. Specify your official name, I-Card#, contact information and the exact time you need the system in the email. Note that if there is nothing in the subject, it would be considered as spam.
2. Wait until you get a reply from me. During this period, do not send more emails. Note that our policy is first register first serve. The time you register is considered as the time you send your last email. After you get a 'Please Pick It Up' reply email from me, bring the following items to where you are told to.
a) your I-Card b) a deposit check of $20 (write the date as that you plan to return the system, put 'CSSA' as the title)
Note that the deposit would be returned to you once you return the system. But a late fee of $1/day is applied if you do not return it on the day you promised. Also, you would be charged if the system is damaged.
c). register in the CSSA Karaoke Log Book. Note that the longest time you could have the system is 2 weeks.
Then you are done, take it home and enjoy. While we do try all our effort to serve you better, it is still possible that you could not get it the day you preferred. We apologize for this and we would appreciate your understanding.
For now, the system we have is not brand new, but a new system is going to be purchased soon. We apologize in advance if you do not have access to the system during this period.
