Badminton is one of the most popular sports among Chinese on the campus. The CSSA badminton club is open to badminton players at all levels. A major event organized by the club is the annual CSSA badminton tournament, which started in 2003. This tournament is usually scheduled in April or May and open to all Chinese as well as players from other countries. The club also organizes friendly games with other nearby universities, either by inviting them to visit us or traveling to other universities.

1. 热烈欢迎新老corn积极参加我们的活动。没车的同学老队员会提供ride。
2. 娱 乐比赛(pickup game)，天气允许情况下，暑假期间每周两次（周三周六），春秋冬季每周一次（周六）。地点时间请参见bbs.cssa.uiuc.edu-> soccer board上的通知。也可以通过向tigers_uiuc-subscribe@yahoogroups.com发送一封邮件加入我们的email list,获取通知。俱乐部提供比赛用球。参加至少娱乐比赛越多，在正式比赛(见2,3)报名时约优先。
3. 俱乐部每年会参加不少于一次的champaign-urbana地区联赛或者UI Open。每个赛季持续6-8周（每周一场比赛）。费用由报名队员分摊（每人每赛季约40$)。队长会安排每个人都能得到一定上场锻炼的时间。
4. 传统上每年与purdue大学中国学生足球队有一场友谊赛。今年的估计将在八月中下旬进行。俱乐部会争取多安排一些与附近中国学校的友谊比赛。
5. 美国小青年球风剽悍。若参加本地足球活动，请您务必佩戴护腿板。

Overseas China Education Foundation (OCEF), is dedicated to help less-privileged children in rural areas of China to finish their education up to 9th grade.

Due to social and historical reasons, millions of school-age children in vast rural areas of China are still struggling for a chance to receive basic education. Local government and parents are too poor to help. Your care and generosity will help these children to get the basic reading and writing skills with which they need to push themselves out of ignorance and poverty.

All donations will be used to help needy children. The supporting money is sent to each supported school directly from OCEF and delivered to students at an open conference attended and monitored by OCEF's volunteering coordinators in China.

海外中国教育基金会唯一使命是筹集资金以帮助中国贫困地区的教育事业。海外中国教育基金会是一受美国联邦政府税务局核准的 501(c)(3) 非营利性组织，享受联邦政府的免税待遇。资助重点对象是中国国家重点扶贫县（或以前的国家贫困县）地区濒临或已经失学的初中以下学生。在广大会员和捐款人士的共同努力下，基金会先后资助了一万多人次(的贫困儿童上学读书。基金会还有“辅导员计划”、可使一校师生共同受益的“图书馆/室项目”以及可惠及一方教育的“建校项目”等其他项目来全面扶持中国教育的发展。

我们我们UI的OCEF志愿者小组将致力于两个方面：
1，宣传OCEF,组织募捐，尽我们的能力去捐助国内的失学儿童，促进国内贫困地区的教育和发展；
2，组织各种活动，丰富大家的业余生活，成为大家认识新朋友和互相帮助的友谊平台。
